FAMILY Study Program with American Teachers!

Are you a parent wanting to bring your children to the Philippines to study English? At ETHOS English School we have American teachers and several study and housing options for you to consider. We focus on American English pronunciation, conversation, sentence structure/grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing.

ETHOS Is “Family Friendly”

At ETHOS, parents can study with their children. Classes are held Mondays through Fridays. You can choose either our 4-hours-per-day or 5-hours-per-day option, with a different subject each hour.

The 4-hour program includes American Pronunciation, Grammar, Conversation, and Reading. The 5-hour program includes those same 4 subjects plus Writing.

Three Programs in One

Our family program provides different study plans for different age groups.

• Parents and children aged 10+: placed in our regular GROUP CLASS program by level (based on assessment). Classes are taught by American native-speaker teachers.
• Children aged 6–9: placed in our “50/50” program—half lesson, half English games/activities that use the lesson content. (These may be taught by our Filipino staff.)
• Children 5 and under: placed in our Day Care program with a Filipino staff member while parents/older siblings attend class. Activities include age-appropriate English games and videos.

• ETHOS does not accept families unless parents are enrolled in classes with their children.
• As an extra service, parents can book paid babysitting after school and during office hours so they can go out for shopping or other activities. Rates depend on the number of children and the number of hours.
• To maximize time with our native speakers, please keep outside schoolwork to a minimum—especially for short stays (1–2 weeks). Practice time and rest matter!
• Please make sure children get plenty of sleep and are ready to learn at 9:00 AM each school day.

How Much Will It Cost?

Your cost depends on which housing option you choose. ETHOS provides two options: Home Stay and Dormitory. Please see the Housing page for details.

So... What About MEALS?

We have a meal program available for our students. Charges for the meal plans are not included in our study package quotation. The meal program is an add-on that students will choose once they arrive at ETHOS. Here are the options and the costs per week for each one:

• One meal per day costs 1,500.00 Pesos per week. (This includes 5 meals)
• Two meals per day costs 3,000.00 Pesos per week. (This includes 10 meals)
• Three meals per day costs 4,500.00 Pesos per week. (This includes 15 meals)

We will cook food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

• Breakfast is available between 8:00 and 8:30 AM.
• Lunch will be served at NOON.
• Dinner will be served between 5:30 and 6:00 PM.

Arrangements will be done on a week-by-week basis while students are with us. They will pay for their desired meal plan on Friday for their meals during the following week. Our different meal plan options are only available on weekdays (Monday through Friday). Meals on weekends and school holidays during the week are NOT included. There are also a number of restaurants located within walking distance of the school. There is both a McDonald's and a Jolibee just one block from the school. There are also several local native Filipino restaurants near the school where students often eat their meals. Also, we are just 5 minutes away from the SM SEASIDE shopping mall, which has many different restaurants. (We keep a current list of restaurants and locations at school.)

In addition, we have a number of food delivery services (GRAB and Food Panda) available in the city, which can deliver food from almost any restaurant in the city! So, food will not be a problem.
