A lot of people today are looking to learn Japanese. Some for work opportunities others for immigration or travel. Japanese is a challenging language to learn, especially when it comes to reading it.
We have over a decade of experience helping students learn Japanese. We have an expanded version of our very successful Local Resident Japanese language program, designed for foreign students like you who can come here and study every day, five days a week!
How long it will take for you to complete your training depends upon your initial starting proficiency level and the level you need to achieve. Here is the fact... The lower your initial Japanese starting point is, and the higher the proficiency level that is required, the longer you will have to study. There is no way to shortcut the process.
In our Foreign Resident program, each proficiency level includes 320 hours of classroom study. We only have classes on weekdays and so your weekends are free to relax and explore.
Each class day includes four class periods of 55 minutes each, plus a 5-minute break in between. There is also a 1-hour break for lunch at noon. The class day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM.
The total hours of classroom instruction for each proficiency level (N5, N4, N3, N2, N1) are 320. You will study 20 hours per week in class, for 16 weeks, but you will also need several additional personal hours of self-study each day, including weekends, in order to successfully complete the training.
The training for each proficiency level will take 4 months and we currently have the ability to take our students from ZERO Japanese, starting with N5, then on to N4, and up through to N3.
There are several things you need to understand if you are considering coming to study here in the Philippines.
You will need a place to stay while you are in training. We have DORMITORY apartment housing that is clean, safe, affordable, and right across the street from the school. Students share a room in a fully furnished apartment where there is a complete kitchen, bathroom, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and hot water showers. We have some house rules (NO smoking, NO alcohol in the apartment, etc.) and we have a midnight curfew on school nights (Sunday through Thursday).
For thse interested in hotel housing, we have a relationship with the BAYFRONT HOTEL chain here in Cebu City. They have two locations, and we can get a very good price for our students. Each location has advantages and disadvantages, but BOTH have nice facilities with lots of features. Just let us know if you would like us to make a booking for you.
If you are interested in finding more details about housing options, click on the Housing menu choice above. You will also need to stay in the country for the duration of the training. This means you will have to fulfill any immigration requirements. We have a licensed staff member who will process all of your immigration requirements.
