We Can Provide SAFE and AFFORDABLE Housing For Our Campers!

English Camp presents a housing challenge because of the group’s size and gender-makeup. If space is available, we will arrange camp housing in our facilities.

We have fully furnished dormitory apartments and spaces in the homes of our American teachers. Campers are given a bed space in a shared room. Males and females will be housed in different locations. (They should interact socially only in the designated common areas.)

These items ARE included in our camp housing price:

• Free Wi-Fi.
• Air conditioning.
• Rooms cleaned twice a week.
• Bedding and towels provided.
• Towels and bedding changed once a week.
• Hot-water showers.
• Hair dryer.
• Toilet tissue in the bathroom.
• Back-up water system.
• Purified drinking water.

These items ARE NOT included in our camp housing price:

• Laundry service.
• Medical expenses.
• Personal care items.
• Snacks and drinks.

We’re happy to help arrange these and any other needed services at no extra charge to campers.

What About MEALS?

Meals will not be a problem. We have an in-house meal program and can provide all camp meals if desired. We can provide safe and nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a reasonable cost. Because the camp itinerary will likely include outside activities during meal times, some meals will be taken out; in those cases campers will pay out of pocket.

Campers may also want extra food or snacks outside of scheduled meals. There’s a McDonald’s and two large supermarkets just one block from ETHOS. We’re also 5 minutes by taxi from SM Seaside, the largest mall in Cebu City and the 9th largest in Asia—full of food and dessert shops, plus plenty of places to shop and have fun!

We will arrange a plan for all meals during the camp; once finalized, it may be difficult to change.

An Important Note About Our Water Supply

ETHOS gets its water from the city system, which can be unreliable. To address this, each ETHOS housing unit has an outdoor storage tank with a limited quantity of water. To ensure everyone can shower, campers agree to:

• Shower only once per day—either morning or evening.
• Limit showers to 15 minutes per person.

Because we’ll host a group, we need everyone’s cooperation to avoid any shortage.

What About FUN Activities?

We balance English study with plenty of fun outside activities. Cebu is rich in history with museums and sites dating back to the 1500s. There are churches and temples, an aquarium, and a safari park with African animals. We have several amusement and water parks, and there are beaches and resorts everywhere!

We maintain a portfolio of options with details, requirements, and costs. Tell us what you want—we’ll arrange it and include it in the package price.

A Few Additional Things to Consider

To maintain our company’s good reputation, we have some very basic common-sense requirements for anyone living in our housing facilities. ETHOS is not a resort or a hotel. We provide inexpensive, clean, and well-maintained housing so campers have a safe, quiet place to live and study. To keep a good home environment, campers agree to:

• Treat all ETHOS staff and fellow campers with respect.
• Respect one another’s property and privacy.
• If you break something, repair or replace it.
• Anyone found possessing or using illegal drugs will be immediately expelled.
• Be home and in rooms by the agreed-upon lights-out time.
• Male campers are not allowed in female rooms.
• Female campers are not allowed in male rooms.
• Outside visitors are not allowed in ETHOS housing facilities.
